During the struggle, the insects attach themselves to Kate, giving her super powers. However, the insects alter her personality and runs away when her team arrive to help her. Magnus learns that Walter inadverdantly leaked the information on the insect suit to Virgil StPeter, the grandson of one of Magnus' friends who took control of his security company, Inverset after he died; Virgil claims to have in fact built the suit for the government.
